Human Rights Equity Action & Accountability Plan

The Way Forward

An Overview: The Way Forward

The Human Rights Equity Action and Accountability Plan: The Way Forward reflects the Halton District School Board’s commitment to create and maintain safe, inclusive learning and working environments free from discrimination for students, families, staff and members of the public.

The Way Forward outlines four key areas of focus, specific strategies to guide the work, and related actions and accountability measures to be undertaken to effect positive change in outcomes throughout the duration of this plan and beyond.

Aligned with the goals identified in the Halton District School Board’s Multi-Year Plan (2020-2024), The Way Forward provides specific actions to which the Board will be held accountable by students, staff, families and the community. Accountability measures will include both qualitative and quantitative approaches including but not limited to: Student Census, Staff Census, school and system climate surveys, focus groups and case studies.
